The diploma project Endangered languages. Exhibited. was developed in cooperation with the Society for Endangered Languages (Cologne). The ten segments of the exhibition both inform the visitor about the endangerment of languages and stress the cultural value of language(s). The two chosen endangered languages, Beaver and Kölsch, interact with German and English as dominant languages. Words and phrases of the four languages are compared, translated and visualised in order to show how language reflects culture and identity. The concept was awarded by :output award 16 and published in the :output yearbook 2013 and design magazine "form" (issue 249 – Augmented Immaterielle Realitäten).
