The Bavarian exhibition Reconstruction and Economic Miracle from 2009 was redesigned in its advertising concept. The reconstruction approach in Würzburg / Bavaria is expressed by typography. The destroyed letters of the font Fraktur (displaying the former Würzburg) are rebuilt with the modern American typeface Franklin Gothic. Behind the typographic facade appears a 50 s living room which refers to the second part of the title, the economic miracle, an era of economic growth after World War II in Germany. Alongside classical communication media such as posters, flyers, merchandising products and entrance tickets, Würzburg‘s public space itself becomes part of the advertising concept. Meaningful buildings that were destroyed and rebuilt after the Second World War receive mobile information displays and become exhibition stations spread all over the town.
